28 Years of Experience in Retinal & Cataract Surgery
Dr Madhava Rao relocated to the UAE in 2007 to practice as a Consultant Ophthalmologist and Vitreo-Retinal Surgeon, where he went on to help establish a dedicated vitreo-retinal department, recognized as a Center of Excellence in Ophthalmology, across two leading private multi-specialty hospitals in Abu Dhabi.
Over nearly two decades in the region, he has performed thousands of complex retinal and cataract procedures with strong clinical outcomes. His particular clinical interest lies in surgical retina and the long-term management of diabetic retinopathy, and he has authored multiple research papers in peer-reviewed journals while presenting his work at national and international ophthalmology conferences.
